Blue 260 D/A 24bit Anyone ?

Hi dear all, this is my very first message, my first post and first topic...

We are acquiring the Focusrite D/A..I like very much the sound, quite different from my Prism DA2 and Counterpoint DA-10 or even more from Prism ADA8xr..but we're in trouble because the unit seem not to react to any command. It is a dismantled part from the entire mastering Blue suite and no manuals included...So my question is: do we need to setup the D/A to work as a standalone machine not remoted by Blue 300 controller ? Or it just need repairs ??

Tanxs.

Focusrite Blue 260 D/A

Hi Fabrizio!

there is no setup necessary for standalone operation of the Blue 260 D/A.

If you connect the d-sub 9pin connector from blue 300 remote with the blue 260 D/A, all controls of the blue 260 are disabled. So if the 260 unit seem not to react you have to check the control relay/circuit inside blue 260 from 9pin connector.

There are no informations in the focusrite blue 260 operation manual mentioned, so you need a service manual or call the guys from focusrite or funky junk in london.

Have luck and enjoy the beautiful sound of this amazing gear - one of my favorites!
