I never use any of the digi EQs, compressors or reverbs either, but I occasionally use the delays; specifically, the medium and slap delays. If I want to just add a little more space to a track, I'll buss it to a slap delay and set the delay time to about 50 ms, with a depth of maybe 20... hope that helps.

Vocal settings are pretty useless unless we were all recording the same vocalist in the same setting. Learn what a compressor does and how it really operates and you'll know how to properly set it for what you want to do.

The DIGIrack III plugs aren't bad, especially the gate and the EQ. However I couldn't suggest settings without sitting down and listening to the track and how it's working in a mix. What would be the point? There are too many other factors for it to make any sense. (performer, instrument, mic placement, mic choice, preamp choice, preamp settings, compression choice, compression settings, converters, level to tape, etc etc etc etc etc)

I frequently use the bombfactory 1176 with the waves rvox for vocals. Also the waves C4 is indespencible for compression of certian frequencies. I use that for anything that cloggs up the mids alot.

dfegad ...why because its a monkey takin a piss...
