Mbox 2 converters VS. Mbox 2 Pro converters

Just a quick question really, as I'm weighing up the m-box2 and the m-box2 pro.

Does anyone know if the A/D converters are improved on the pro version, or are they merely the same deal as in the M-box 2?

Thanks very much. Any feedback would be appreciated.

they are the same

it's all the same...

the only upside is the ability to use actual BNC wordclock connections,
and they lifted the 48KHz ceiling. but youi can only go above 48KHz
with the internal clock.

same ol' digi. they have to hold you back somewhere.

I believe the converters are the same.

Basic differences:
Mbox2 - USB, 2 in/2out, 44.1/48k sample rate
Mbox2 pro - Firewire and wall wart, 2 more ins/outs, RCA aux in, BNC wordclock (44.1, 48k), up to 96k (internal clock)

Thanks for the advice!

With my meagre setup I doubt I would be doing much recording above 48khz anyway. I would have been tempted to run the Mbox2pro if the converters were upgraded, but for my needs the extra two inputs probably wouldn't be much use either. The word-clock is a really good feature, but unfortunately (meagre setup remember!) I don't have any hardware to sync it with...

The software included is a big plus though. I think the mbox2 factory would probably suit my needs more, and with the money saved, I could get a *student discount* version of logic pro7...

For my needs (demoing and generally being a student) the m-box2 looks more suitable.

Thanks again for the feedback!
