Steinberg UR824 vs MR816 AD ONLY

Thanks! anyone have experience with both thanks. The attractive thing about the UR824 is it has 2 hi-z, and the MR816 only one. Thanks

By the numbers, UR824 is better, but the AD is the same.

My Mr816csx just came in the mail... This is the best buy I have ever made! jeeze!!!!!! exactly what I was looking for... Probably gonna get another one. instead of a mixer... I would be running adat right, because I heard Direct Monitoring is f'ed up.

Note, right off the bat I noticed that the DAC < Duet 2.... but for all the other features, Id rather have this, even this over quartet, because of the features. Iv never heard the DAC in ensemble

Sadly I can't comment on a direct comparison......BUT I actually picked up a MR816csx the other day, and DAMN this thing sounds great compared to my Presonus FP10. I compared the FP10 to and MBox 2 back in the day and the Presonus blew that away....Now the MR816csx blows away that bland FP10.

Steinberg really did a great job with these interfaces!!

Yeah and you can get awesome deals too. I picked up mine brand new, never been used in box and warranty with shipping included for 600$ flat. I wonder if you can hook up the UR824 to the Mr816. The ADC is awesome! I actually like it better than my Duet, the duet had this brittle sounding Highs i didn't like... it wasn't lifeless like Motu, but it annoyed me. This one got balls.

The Rosetta 200 192 is of higher quality than the Duet.
I found no perceived DA quality gain using the Rosetta in listening / loopback tests. I sold the 200 and kept the MR816x

Dude! I TAKE BACK what i said!!! i made a beat today with it its a keeper. I like THIS DAC better than my Duet 2! the duet2 dac is bright! makes things sound nice. this seems "flat."

lmao, i love this ADC, sounds very different than the Duet2 in a pleasing way. and that CS morphing. good gawd! dangerous man... my Virus TI2 is on fire right now.

Though, the MR816csx is a little glitchy switching from Spdif to External FX within Cubase....

Lots of trial and error, testing testing testing...

Anyone know if upgrading to OSX 10.8 helped firm up any of the glitchiness???

So everyone I've had to go from Cubase 7 back to Cubase 6.5 on Mac )SX 10.8.2 because literally Cubase 7's performance is soooooooooo terrible with the new update. Sad day Steinberg :(
