iTrack Solo - can't charge ipad in use?

Am I correct here that the only way to charge the ipad is with the port that the iTrack needs? Meaning you are on limited time with every session? Meaning this product sucks ass?

I was tempted, but I believe you're correct: it does not charge, which means you are limited to the Ipad's battery time.

Not so good..think I'll pass even though it looks good
