Ymaha RM 804 mixer any info?

Ive scored an old Yamaha RM804 mixer of ebay cheap thought it maybe worth a try for dirtying up some channels in a nice way.Anyway does any one know anything about this desk all I have found on the net is a basic operation manual.I saw another RM804 on ebay and the guy reckons it has input transformers and sounds fat but I normally take this sort of stuff with a pinch of salt.

I have one of these, and unfortunately it is NOT correct that it has input transformers.

I contacted Yamaha in the UK and the tech conceded that the manual - that states "transformer isolated" - was most likely a translation error/typo from Japanese as it should have read "transformerless"

The mic pres are actually discrete, and work very well with ribbon mics. No phantom power, though so no condensers can work with it unless you have an external supply.

I had some fun with it but its now gathering dust!
