$1500 Budget for Monitors and AD/DA Interface

Hello everyone... Been reading and reading and reading, and now time for some feedback... please...

I've $1,500 budget for Powered Monitors and a good AD/DA Interface. I'd love to hear feedback on suggestions, etc. I've just rebuilt my system (sold my mac and digi001), and have:
AMD Dualcore, XP pro, 2g Ram, Cubase SX, with the Tascam US428 as my interface/controller. I have a Mindprint envoice pre/channel strip with the DI port I currently monitor with passive 20/20's to an Alesis RA100, and dislike it.

Monitors: I'm looking for powered/b-amped monitors and will upgrade with sub in the future. I'm looking at....
Dynaudio BM5's?
Adam A7's?
Tannoy Reveals?
others?

AD/DA Interface: Ultimately a firewire would be great, but not needed. A PCI- breakout box would suit just fine. I need only 2 channels and pres would be great, but not needed. (simple guitar/bass/ or stereo keys recording). I'm looking at:
RME Multiface?
Firepod/Firebox
others?

Need help is sussing out a system that I won't need to upgrade for a while. However, I so very much want the RME FF400, but I just can't wait since the US428 converters are seriously lacking like no tomorrow.

thoughts? It's just my home project studio, but wouldn't mind having things mastered in the future.
