Thread Starter | electronic drums mix help!
Hi there, Could anyone give us some tips on beefing up a quite minimal electronic drum mix, I've been trying some parrallel comp, but does anyone else have any tricks up there sleeve? p.s. its for a track in the electro style... 808's and 909's etc. |

I gate sine tones using the drums as keys (i.e. kick and a 100 hz tone) to add a little beef in the bottom. Also I've used a reverb on snare recorded it and then shifted it back so they hit at the snare time and then parallel/eq that to suit. Don't know if that helps or not?

An easy shortcut is BBE Sonic Maximizer.. but seriously.. whats wrong with your 909 that means it aint beefy enough?
