Thread Starter | focusrite saffire LE same converters as pro?
Im thinking about buying a saffire light, but i cant find out about what converters are included on the saffire le. Are they the same as on the pro and the normal saffire?? thanx |

No they don't. Saffire AD/DA codec is the Cirrus CS42428-CQ Saffire LE AD/DA codec is the Cirrus CS42432-DMZ Whether you hear a difference is another thing. |

I was told by a Focusrite rep, that the pres in the "pro"are the same as the LE, but the Cirrus chip is an all in one ad/da... I dont know whether this means you cant seperate them with outboard convertors or not. The pro seems like an answer to the firepod pretty much... |
