Gospel Choir Studio Substitute

I want a gospel choir on my next track. I might try downloading the trial version of Antares EVO:
AVOX Evo Antares Vocal Toolkit

But what I really want is to be able to type in the lyric and the midi, automate the volume/intensity, and have the plugin do the rest.

Any suggestions?

Use the lead sheet generator and find a choir to hire. It shouldn't be hard in your neck of the woods. And, the church could probably use a little cash to help with repairs after Sandy (tax deductable as a "donation" in most cases).

Does not exist. It probably will some day, but for now it does not.

And even if existed, a flying car would sound better...

I give it 2 or 3 years before a programmable singing Siri or something like it hits the market. Of course it will sound weird but it will become all the rage....like autotune.

Yamaha tried with Vocaloid, and it was an honest shot, but I don't need a tranny C-3PO in my tracks...

Til Pianoteq, even a piano wasn't modeled realistically.

What about a living person...

I think you're looking for something like this?

Word builder + Symphonic choirs

EWQL Symphonic Choirs - Wordbuilder Demo - YouTube

Ha. I'm now imagining the Star Wars robot as a manga character. Still, Vocaloid looks interesting.

it's been a couple of years since I reviewed or experimented with any retail options for this type of thing (& my primary interest was not to avoid recording a chorus/choral group in ambient space but simply to see if options were useful (& breakable) tools . . . mention that because none of the options were ever really marketed in my direction). What I found was (if I considered my time to be worth anything at all) by time I'd manufactured something even remotely usable it would have been cheaper to do the local choral group hire thing, and in truth a lot more fun. There is a learning curve there as well (at least as far as keeping it 'fun') but while I still find all sorts of digital manipulation useful, the so called real life recording/production experience tends to remain more fungible (which seems counter intuitive) & profitable . . . i.e. lessons acquired using local resources for a project apply across a broad range of products.

I downloaded a demo or something version once, but this thing need a lot of programming in order to start sounding just a bit like vocals. And when the roof of what you can achieve is so low, better do the real thing, even with an amateur local choir in a less than ideal space. Although for classical staff EW is great and highly usable. Also worth checking Voxos.
