Low budget intrumental album

Hi! I'm Jakob Juhkam from Estonia.
I know it's a bit selfish to post my music here, but I think it suits..
I wanted to post my instrumental debut album, which I released in august.
I wrote, played (if not noted differently), recorded, mixed and mastered everything myself.
My low end gear -
Computer, interface:
Lenovo thinkpad t410
SAFFIRE PRO 24 DSP
REAPER
Mics:
pair of Rode NT-5's (The most used mics for OH's, guitars, double bass, vocals, horns, woodwinds etc.)
Shure sm57 (snares, some acoustic guitars, electric guitars, percussion)
AKG D112 and Audix d6 (lent for recording kick and some of the bass parts)
and an unknown old russian dynamic mic, pretty beat-up (some guitars and vocals for noisy, old effect)
Instruments:
An old soviet Cremona nylon guitar, Jolana diamant I el. guitar, Fender japan strat, Jolana Iris bass (every bassguitar track exept double bass in track 1), Ibanez acoustic
Prophet 08, Roland alpha juno 2, soviet "minimoog" estradin 230, some free soft synths etc.
Drums: I can't name exact drums, that I used. I sort of "lent" them by recording them in friends' rehearsal room.
Also i used different kind of percussion from tambourines to kitchentables and cups etc.

In mixing my principal was to use as many "free stuff" that I can.

The link: Jakob Juhkam - T

Thanks for listening and enjoy!

Hey Jakob, I really enjoyed this. Something about nylon guitar ostinatos that are quite hypnotizing...how long did it take you to finish the album? You seem to have developed quite a unique and developed sound, I appreciate that. Cool album art too keep it up!

Hey, thank you for your kind words I took a year off between highschool and university for recording this album. So, from first notes to finishing master.. basically one academical year, or season (from the beginning of september to the end of june)

I love the piano and drums work in Etüüd/ Etude and the ambient/drone interlude after that.

I feel a little bit jealous, great job man.

Thanks! I wanted to create a kind of balance between different songs, so after this rythmic madness it defenately needed some "calm down" moment.
No need to feel jealous, I'm greatful that you even listened!

Thanks! I'd be delighted if you use my songs. It could be very interesting when someone makes kind of hip hop remix out of it

Really interesting, kept me listening. Quite an achievement, does not sound like you are copying anyone, which is unusual around here.

Thanks!
"Copying" actually was a little problem in making this album. Many songs were deleted because of that.

The more I listen, the more I like it. I bought the download.

It's impressive for a couple of reasons. First, the compositions and arrangements are interesting and sophisticated. Hard for me to believe you are a student just after high school. Your use of synths over live instruments is very tasteful. Second, the recording and mixing don't sound like a beginner is responsible to me.

I think you are a seasoned professional film and tv soundtrack composer. The music is beautiful.

Thank you!
Yes, I'm also hoping that one day I can have a job at film industry.
BTW, I've also put together a band I perform the album with. Uploaded some footage few days ago: Jakob Juhkam - Mr. Vincent (Live at Von Krahl) - YouTube

This reminded me of a lot of good stuff like E.S.T, Zappa, Weather Report. Especially the use of unusual harmonies kept my attention. Keep up the good work!
