monitoring upgrade: better power amp or better monitor station?
ok gearslutz, here is what i currently have in my monitoring chain: Lynx Aurora 8, Mackie Big Knob, Yamahs Ns 10 powered by JBL UREI 6260 and a set of KRK VXT 8.

what do you think is my weakest link : the big knob, or the amp for the yamaha? if i want to put money into an upgrade that make the biggest difference in what i am hearing where should it go towards? as options i was thinking between dangerous monitor ST instead of the big knob, OR Bryston 4 instead of the JB UREI. i have to say that i use my ns10s 90% of the time.

Get rid of the Mackie Big Knob. I'm sure your amp is fine.
