Headphones for Techno\Minimal and Hiphop.

Hello Everybody,

I need to buy headphones since I can't really use monitors in my room, I need quality reference headphones, that I can work lots of hours with and get a replacement for full sized monitors.
My music is Techno, Minimal, HipHop beats and some trailer music.
I was thinking about the SRH 940 or the AKG k701\2 but I wanted to hear if anybody here has a better suggestion.
I don't have 600euro for headphones, but rather somewhere in the 300euro area(I can push it a bit if it really makes a difference).

Anyway, the headphones gotta have lots of details and great bass and mostly the music will be electronic. The main techno artists that inspire me are Oliver Huntemann, Joseph Capriati, Sven Wittekind and lots of Phobiq guys. Deep dark and heavy yet with details and synths

Thanks a lot in advance!

Anadrolic.

I did my research, that's how I cam to the Akg k701\2 and the Shure SRH 940, not sure which ones to pic and if there any better option in that price range.

I am at the same point...I cannot see what is the best in that price range, I am afraid I won't like the highs on the 940

Isn't MDR-V6 by Sony the "best" monitor headphones since '90s?

Beyer Dynamic DT 770, 880 and 990 are all suitable. The 990 is my personal favorite.
