Cheapest place to get Equator D5 in UK? $299 should not equal £349

Has anyone else in the UK got some Equator d5's?

On the official site, they are $299.

Yet here in the UK they are costing £349 which is equivalent to $570.

Now correct me if im wrong, but even with taxes, vat, how can the price be £349?

If they are almost half the price of Adam A7x's, then the value aspect of it goes out of the window.

Would love to hear what anyone else thinks.

In the USA they are sold factory direct.

In UK the price has to cover the UK distributor and retailer markup as well as the taxes and the cost of shipping them over.

When I worked out the cost to get them shipped direct from the USA (Before they had UK distribution) it was around £325 so I'd say they haven't done too badly bringing them in at this price.

I waited till they arrived in UK and bought at £349 (+ Isoacoustic desktop stands for another £89) and don't have the slightest hint of regret!
I've been through a lot of £500 and under near-fields over the last ten years and these feel like the ones I was looking for all along.

I have £400 to spend on a pair of monitors, will Equator D5 for £349 be the best way to spend it?

Thanks
