AD/DA & Monitor controller 3k usd.
Hi guys,

Im in the search for a new AD/DA or used, to pair with my external per's.
Also if i could get some pointers on monitor controller or interface with some decent controller in it.
(worth to mention I'm on a Intel Mac pro)

I know about the presonus control station or what its called with the adat and built in converter for the monitoring bit. but also have the normal line ins.
Tho i have no experience with the quality of it.


Also the crane song advocate witch is a dream but bitt pricy.
The Mackie Big Knob, imho to colored in sound.


On the AD/DA bit, i have a few options i feel.
1. Used AVID / Digidesign protools HD Pci-e, incl interface.
2. SSL AlphaLink AX or whatever the newest interface is called.
+ RME HDSPe Madi or SSL MadiExtreme.
3. Used Lynx 16 with the digi link? Can one get that for under 3k?

Please give me some pointers. Also the 3k is a pointer can go as far as 3.5k

For $3k, no question, Cranesong Avocet. Coleman Audio has a number of options, and Dangerous has a nice one, but I happen to be fond of stepped attenuation. Parts can be sourced from DACT or make your own, and Goldpoint is another option.
