Tube preamp to .... what digital interface?

Hi All,
Really apologize if this has already been talked about, I'm brand new. I'm pretty much set on getting a UA M610 preamp and a few mics (SM7 and some SDC) to start recording my acoustic guitar and vocals stuff. My question is... What is a good way to, in a relatively inexpensive way, get the signal from that tube preamp onto my Mac where I have Logic. I'm a newby, but I want to get decent acoustic good tracking to make use of the preamp. I'm assuming I need a digital interface (like a AD converter). What is the simplest best one for an analog/Cat stevens/Woody Guthrie/John Fahey loving poor American?

Thanks in advance!!
Dan

Dan, I'd recommend you look into some of the solutions by RME. RME: Home

if you're on a budget, i would look for a used apogee duet 1.

Thanks for the responses guys! I appreciate it. I like the simplicity and design of the Apogee Duet so I might get either the Duet 1 or 2. Would I need to get the Breakout Box to run my preamp (UAM610) into that digital interface or does it come with a Wire adapter that runs into it from the mic preamp for the AD conversion? Hopefully with that setup I can get a good warm sound. I am on a budget! Thanks again in advance.

Duet is aweomse but so is RME, today I say go for RME due to drivers, they always months ahead apogee when some major up-date is release for OS, and also RME is know for rock solid drivers, the converter quality is the same IMO.

Thanks. I'll look into those. My main thing is that I'm going to be running from UA preamp into a digital interface, into a laptop USB.

Are you on a Mac or a PC? Duet is Mac only, just so you know.

Which ever you chose just make sure it's capable of accepting line level balanced input for outboard pre amps. Many posts I've seen asking advice about outboard pre's without regard to wether or not it's compatible with the interface being used with it. Not a lot of interfaces have discrete line levels inputs that are separate from the onboard preamp circuits. IMHO if you've invested in outboard pre's I would want dedicated line inputs so as not to add unneeded coloration, noise, etc from the average pre's in most interfaces.

The Duets would work fine. I use a Motu that has separate line ins.
