Happy Birthday To Me :)

In honor of my birthday I have placed a couple orders for some much needed (well GAS'd over) items. I'll call this phase one of my setup overhaul.

1. Golden Age Project Pre73
2. Radial Pro DI Passive Direct Box
3. ART High Performance Mic Splitter
4. Monster Power Pro 1000 Power Conditioner/Strip

Thanks to you guys for so many helpful insights and your continued advice. I will now be ready to do the non classical location recordings and the youtube stuff I wanted to start.

Phase Two will likely be the classical location recording upgrade

yeah I'm about to start forraying into location recordings so I'll be ordering a DAV BG1, a nice mic stand, a pair of SDC like the KSM141 (or possibly AT4050 the 50th anniversay model, though if I go that route I'll also order the ATM25 50th anniversary mic and make that my drumkit setup with three mics), and I'll likely make a couple longer mic cables as right now I for the most part use 20' Blue Kiwi cables. So a good all black Mogami/Canare quad cable in like a 50' length would probably be more professional and more functional.

That sounds like a good plan. I am actually in a similar spot. I am starting up on location recording for band and such. Show up at the practice space kind of deal. Though I would like to do classical and jazz as well.
