Studio Upgrade Drum Machine?

Okay guys im sure you get heaps of posts like this in here but unfortunately im another one of those guys for now.

I'm stuck between what i should do to upgrade my workflow. I have ableton on my macbook pro but it's just not cutting it at the moment id rather a piece of hardware. I make music similar to justice, bloody beetroots but also make flosstradamus, kanye west style beats. I would like a hardware drum machine but i really dont want to break the bank. Any suggestions before i dive and spend it all on a tr-808

There's lots of good options but as much as I love the 808 I'd just pickup goldbaby's sample pack for that plus an MPC1000 or 2000. The 2000 has a little better pads but the 1000 is much more modern with 128mb sample RAM and USB instead of 32mb. I have a 1000 myself and the best feature is the sequencer and ultra low latency.

Theres always maschine too. Lots of good reviews and love for those but I prefer Akai stuff. Those new hybrid MPCees coming out look sick too but theres advantages and disadvantages of a software/controller combo vs standalone hardware. And how about the APC or even Traktor F1?

Thanks for the reply

I already own a launchpad but its not great for drumming or anything like that.

I hear the Maschine is really good because of the software that comes with it

Okay guys i've narrowed it down to the maschine or possible an MPC since the tr-808 is just way out of my league.

any pros? cons? I know a bit about the two but i feel like some first hand advice would help me
