THe Yamaha HS50's and an accurate sub such as the Yamaha HS-10 would do the trick; it'd cost $800 for this setup. Or go for a pair of HS-80's at $700. Some people suggest also getting the HS-10 sub to pair into the HS-80's; makes sense. I demo'd the HS-80 with a KRK sub setup at Guitar Center in their monitors room and was very pleased by the deep, rich bass response.

Do you have a drill, a table saw, a router, a lot of large clamps, and a decent workspace?

If so (or you want to buy them anyway), PM me if you want to discuss building your own.

There are also some pre-made cabinets you could use, but none large enough for a true full-range speaker. But you could always build a sub as well.
