Last go around with pod 2.0/any point to record in stereo

I have used the pod mono and doubled the track many a time..using headphones with the pod 2.0 it sounds pretty good sometimes. Is there any point in recording the pod left and right and then doubling as opposed to mono then doubling?

I'd only record in stereo if you're using a "stereo" effect i.e. a preset that has a difference between the left & right side. You'll automatically get some "thickening" due to timing differences between takes - maybe experiment with changing presets slightly between takes; may end up with mud...or something cool. Good luck!

stereo chorus & rotary are good reasons. be sure to pan your channels hard left & right.
