Yes...Micahel Joly offers a mod for this, as does JJ Audio, I believe. However, I wouldn't touch mine because I love it just the way it is. It's one of those mics that can cover a lot of ground as is but isn't perfect for everything.....In this case I'd say that if you don't dig the Bluebird just sell it, and buy something else you want. These days with the availability of cheap but quality LDCs there's no reason to mod a mic like the Bluebird IMO when you can get a mic to an exact or at least similar voicing to your liking within the same price range as a Bluebird new or used.

What the Bluebird does it does well, which is actually quite a few things. But modding a mic like that is sort of like modifying a Toyota Corolla so that it drives more like a Honda Civic (lateral move). Just buy a Honda Civic if that’s what you’d rather have.

Best regards,

Chris

Here's how I modded mine after dropping it.

I've also modded the shockmount using Vise-Grips after I broke the tightener screw.

I agree. Why mod if you can replace with another (or just add to the quiver). A friend of mine was dead set on adding a resistor to a SM57 and I kept trying to convince him to just mod an XLR cable instead.

Anyway, if you don't like the mic, you don't like it. Do whatever you want, it is yours not mine.

It looks like that shock-mount mod was first. I am not too confident in the vice grip mod if that is the case.

I haven't modded any electronics in my bluebird but I did swap out the capsule in it. It makes the mic MUCH more useable. Before the mod, I always felt it was borderline painful to listen to because of the hyped highs. I documented the mod process for microphone-parts.com and it got published here:
