Soundcard capable of 16 channels on ADAT

Hi there,

I have been looking for a fair while now and i wanted a soundcard that has 16 channels via adat. I thought the Yamaha MY16AT would do thw job but is that for specific Yamaha desks? Also does the Emu 1616m do this or is it 16 channels including the analogue ins? I cant seem to find any info regarding the adat channels.

Thanks for any help

RME RayDAT or other adat card from RME. Stable drivers and high quality build.

Get a MOTU 2408 and card. Will handle 72 i/o and they are cheap used. They work great and easy to expand.

rxylab-

You probably need to specify what type of connection to the computer you're looking to use. I've got ADAT cards all over everywhere here, but they're all old school PCI (internal). People might need to know what sort of host computer you have or what slots/ports it has available.

Take Care

buy an old Hammerfall 9652 card. They're pretty cheap and just work. Plus, you can actually get 24 adat out/in on 3pairs of adat and a stereo coax too. Great cards that were worth every penny when they were new so is going to be even more of a bargain now that they'll be cheaper used.
