Treating the room with duvets and fiberglass

So, there are way too many threads and topics regarding this problem that I'm sure everybody has had the honors of being introduced too.. ...placement of panels etc..

I've got a hold of 3 panels (fiberglass) and I want to put two behind (in front of the source) the mic (cardioid) In a V-shape and a duvet behind the singer with the 3rd panel between the singer and the duvet.

Is this optimal or should I go for a different solution? Perhaps put all the panels behind the singer and the duvet in-front?

And please, if you disagree with someone and have a different way of viewing things, try to explain what you find wrong with their idea and don't just shoot it down.

If your mic is not an omni, I'd put more behind the singer (where the mic "sees") and less in front.

Also, try to use a corner to your advantage (like the corner covered in 703 and the mic facing the corner).

Trial and error - nobody can give you a sure-fire solution without being in your room and trying a few things....

No, it's a cardioid mic so that advice is solid! I'm just worried since the room isn't treated that it'll still find a way in to the mic but I might put two of the 703s + the duvet behind the singer and keep just one in front.

Unfortunately the only "free" corner in the room is right where the door is and I might have to re-arrange the whole room, which I will do if I really have to.

I'll give the room a try tomorrow but in any case it will definitely be an improvement over the way it was before.

Thanks for taking the time tINY, appreciate it.
