Uneven Volume

I have a pair of Rokit 8's and I just noticed that one of them does not play as loud as the other. It doesn't sound like the woofer is blown, just lower. I tried compensating from the back volume knob but it doesnt sound as good. Any thoughts on how this happened and if this is fixable. Thanx in advance

Could it be a cable problem? Or a problem with your sound card's outputs/your Rokit's inputs?

Try swapping the cables, or using different sets of outputs/inputs. At least that way, you will know that it's definitely something wrong with the monitor.

Thanx for the quick reply. The cables are brand new but I never considered that they may be bad. I'll switch back to the old ones and see if thats it. Then I guess i should try a different set of speakers to make sure its not my MV8000

So you tested with a different pair of speakers, setup in the same location as your KRKs, and the volume level between the two was normal?

Sometimes the speaker's positioning in the room can cause one to appear louder than the other; for example, having one speaker closer to a wall...
