Question Is my laptop powerful enough for audio production?

Thinking of getting this:

Staples has the HP Pavilion dm4-3050us Quad Edition Intel Core i5-2450M 2.5GHz Dual-Core Sandy Bridge; 6GB RAM; 750GB HDD; DVD Burner

It's only $500 after all rebates!

I'll be recording 2-3 tracks on Cubase at the same time (acoustic guitar, vocals, electric guitar, bass etc... ). Don't think my productions should be too crazy as far as number of tracks go.

Will this laptop be enough or do I need to go with an i7?

It's fine spec-wise, but there could be DPC latency issues. If you can run the checking utility and see what you get.
