changing the mbox 2 pro

So, i want something better than the mbox 2 pro, a profire 610 maybe? presonus firestudio mobile? Focusrite Saffire Pro 24?? or something different? im using it to record voice and guitar cabs as well as bass.

i got pro tools hd 9, macbook pro 10.6.8.

Switching to another interface in the same class is not a good use of your money. I'd take a look at your setup in its entirety to see what could benefit most from an upgrade.

monitoring: krk 5

I record guitars using a mesa boogie 5:50 and a blackstar

it is a macbook pro 2.53 i5


i want better quality when recording voice and distorted or acoustic guitar.

im running pro tools hd 9

"Better quality" is far too vague. Why not post a clip of your results and ask for advice on improving on specific points you feel are lacking?

Hey! i've uploaded 2 files using the mbox 2 pro and the at4040. one is 48khz and the other one is 96khz. The first 2 takes of both files are with pad off.. the 3 next takes of each file are with pad on.

the singer was like 8,5" from the mic.. probably 5" from the pop filter, and the pop filter like 3,5 from the mic.

some how i get the feeling the voice could be bigger, deeper and with more clarity, i just don't if it's the mic or the room, or the mbox or whatever.
I would really appreciate if you tell me how to improve the sound.
