DBX 160X connection to API A2D...need help

Hey guys-

I just got a DBX 160X and i want to connect it to my API A2D in between the mic pre and the converter. Is anyone else using both of these? If so how are you connecting? Using the barrier strip or the 1/4"?? Are they both balanced? It seems like it from the manual but kind of unclear.

any help would be appreciated....thanks

Tim

The 1/4" are balanced TRS.
Does the API offer an insert point?
