Can you get pro results with RME Babyface/Apogee Duet?

I've got an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. I bought it because at the time I thought I needed to record a drum kit. Then I discovered drum sampling programs like the stuff Toontrack produces, so now I basically only need to record vocals and guitar.

Would the RME Babyface and/or Apogee Duet offer a significant upgrade in conversion and mic preamp quality at the cost of fewer mic pres??

Is it possible to produce pro quality results with just them if you know what you're doing? Not rough sketches, but pro quality finished productions?

Are all the productions you hear on the radio made with miillion dollar conversion? If you heard something made with something as humble as a babyface/duet on the radio/club, would it stick out like sore thumb or would you not notice?

You can get pro quality results with your M-audio. The source and the acoustics surrounding it have more influence on the sound than converters.

Especially with the Duet 2, I said many times.. It won't be the duet holding you back..

The spec's are excellent, if your not a fan of specs.. They sound great too.
