Fast Track Pro question

from the M-Audio website:

* Class compliancy supports 16-bit/48kHz 2 x 4 operation on OS X 10.3.9 and higher. Driver installation required to access more I/O.

Can some please explain what this means? (I'm only interested in this thing if it will do 96kHz on PTMP 7.x/ OS 10.4)

Anyone using this box? How is it?

Thanks in advance Kirk

i believe under OS X 10.3.9 you can use it for 2 in 4 out at 48/16 without installing extra drivers. looks liek its only half duplex at 96KHz. you cant expect to much from USB

all i/o option are listed on M-Audio web page

hi krs,

i wrote a review on the Fast Track Pro here:

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/deta...eviews/#anchor

to sum it up: In its price class the M-Audio device is the best choice between all the choices one has (US122, Alesis IO2, etc...)

the preamps get noisy when you run them at 100% gain, but that is a given fact for all of the "cheap preamps" we know.
