Budget GRM Tools alternative "bundle" for the weird stuff?

I've a budget for some weirdness. GRM Tools is a bit pricy so I've looked around and found a lot of good things about the following plugs. I'm wondering if those in the know could provide some insight as to any overlap amongst the following alternate choices. I know GRM tools is pretty unique, I've demoed the first version and it's pretty amazing. I certainly don't think any of the following offers what GRM does but do they offer comparable weirdness?

The other option is to upgrade my Komplete 6 to Komplete 8 Ultimate for about the same cost but I don't think that will offer any weirdness beyond what I already have with Komplete 6 and certainly not the kind of sound shaping as the following plugs. Image Line's "Harmor" synth and BitWord's "Expanse" and "Wavefront" sample library bundle for Kontakt are also in contention.

Any opinions about the combination of these plugs is appreciated.

  • Audio Damage FSU Bundle
  • Soundhack Pvoc Kit & Spectral Shapers Bundle
  • SFX Machine & Spectral Machine Bundle
  • Camel Audio PhatSpace Bundle
  • Smart Electronix Slifty, Splonki, Resolator, flitchSplifter, KTGranulator (donation)

Thanks in advance,

If you have Komplete, you have Reaktor. While it's not the same, there are nifty effects and you get the enormous user library. You can use samples in Absynth too and get very interesting stuff.
If you're on mac, you can try Soundhack, or the IRCAM softwares (Audiosculpt, SuperVP).

Not on a Mac so I wound up with SFXMachine, Spectral Machine, Spectrumworx (because Spectral Machine isn't working well on Cubase 6, x64), Harmor, and MeldaProduction's Creative Bundle; all at bargain holiday prices. Man, if I can't get some wacky stuff out of those maybe I'm a little too "weird" for my own good. Or just not very talented... which is always a real possibility.

I also started looking for some Reaktor stuff and downloaded a couple of things already. Reaktor is so CPU hungry though, even on my Hexcore CPU.

GRM tools have reincarnated into their second version after long times dormancy. This review reinforcing some of my opinions but the first GRM tools changed my world back in early days computers for audio
