Maybe too new? Mackie usually delivers good value for money, so if the features are what you're looking for, I guess you can buy with confidence (and of course come tell us about it )

It looks good and sure is going to sound better that the Beh*** witch sounds like plastic but it works.

Anyway, it´s going to be difficult for the drumer to reach the desk. I think it´s better that you make the adjustments instead of explaining to everybody how does it works ( depends the musicians you are working with ).

I was looking at this unit too. If you've seen the piece like this that Oz Audio manufactured, you might have noticed it looks exactly the same. I've been told that Mackie actually took over manufacturing on this from Oz Audio which would explain this. It was a couple of months ago that I investigated the Mackie piece and noone had it in stock. Turns out that it wasn't even going out to stores at that point, even though the piece had been officially "introduced" nearly a year ago. I concluded that the Shure Auxpander interfaced with the Mackie headphone amp I already had would achieve good results, (although I did just stick with using the aux outputs on my digital mixer for the time being). That Mackie piece might be in stores by now...I'm surprised more people don't make a similar product as it seems this is something just about any project (or commercial for that matter) studio could use. I guess folks are getting around it by utilizing their mixers...?

It's a good piece in our experience, I'm working one into my rig as well.
