Thread Starter | Kel Audio Song Sparrow
SO I took a chance and bouht the Kel Audio Song Sparrow mic. There were NO reviews at all, just a couple of sound samples on their site and specs. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised! It kicks the ass of my MXL Genesis for about half the price(Genesis is $600 new, song sparrow is only $350) especially on my voice. Very detailed, clean, airy and open; a bigger low end can be EQ'd in if desired. So far I love it. Just thought I would leave some feedback on it for others because I couldnt find any. And ive only used through a saffire 6 usb. I was thinking I needed a better preamp, but honestly feel like it isnt NEEDED. May still get either a grace m101, gap73 or isa just because I'm addicted to new stuff lol

I'm not surprised. Most of the Kel stuff kicks the hell out of a lot of "popular" mics. Get the ISA . The variable impedance and the adjustable HPF will give you 20 mics out of the one you use.
