| need opinion on Rosetta 200/800 for studio. I have a home studio in my basement with 8 ft ceilings, not a pro studio. I am always looking to improve my studio sound and after getting better pres/mics, I have decided on getting converters to use for A/D and D/A for my Digi 002 I was set on the Rosetta 200, but thought...if I do drums, I will not be able to get all the mics running through that, should I get the 800? My question is to everybody out there...is it really worth it to put the extra cash out for the 800 when I will be recording the drums in my basement? I am wondering if I would see a great deal of difference for the cash put out. I single track everything else, vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard, so I would be using the Rosetta 200 for everything else but drums... Just would love to get opinions....I am getting ready to pull the trigger for a Rosetta 200, but am trying to think this out... Thanks in advance for any input.... Keith www.keithlubrant.com |

| Gear addict | Shouldn't this be on the high-end board? Anyway...are you happy with the drums you've been getting on the 002? If you feel a major need for improvement in that area, maybe the Rosetta 800 would be a good idea. Otherwise, just the 200 would be a great improvement. I suppose you could still track kick and snare through it. |

| Sorry, thought I did post this in there! Thanks for the feedback, though...As far as the drums, I always want them to sound better (even though, I don't think they are that bad!), but I am not sure how much the signal quality will improve compared to the money spent. Maybe I should just buy it from a well known dealer and if I don't feel the justification, send it back. |
