JBL/UREI 7110 help

I posted this in the Geekslutz forum and didn't get any love.

I'd like to get the optional output transformer for my JBL/UREI 7110, but JBL doesn't stock it any more. Does anyone know if I could find the transformer somewhere else? Any info would be appreciated.

If you could get the specs on the original transformer you could match something up no problem. Are you talking input or output tranny? Do you know if it was a Jensen,UTC...?........etc

Sorry I just read your post again and you did say output tranny.

I have some Jensen output trannys. We will need specs though.

Is this JBL/Urei the compressor they sold years ago?

Yes, output xfmr. I think it was originally Jensen that they offered and I believe it was made in the mid-80's. I will find the schematics and PM you.
Thanks!

I have a UK source for the transformer, but it's expensive.

Anyone got any other sources? Worldwide or OEM or equilivant? Reply here or PM me please!

Also looking for one control knob for this unit, any help locating it would be much appreciated.

Are you saying that JBL still stocks it? Because I called and talked to a few different people trying to track it down and they no longer carry it. If that has changed, I am interested in knowing.

Thanks.

it turns the 7110 into a fairchild 660...

I haven't done the upgrade yet [didn't feel like spending he $60+]
I just researched finding the part...

I imagine adding the output transformer would upgrade the sound a little
