Antress Modern Plugins

Freeware VST plugins

How about going over to KVR and just download a bunch and try them out. They're free and well classified, but then you'd have to search for them over there too...

FYI the reason searching may suck (which it doesn't btw) is partially because of the disorganized mess of redundant threads resulting from lazy users not wanting to do any reading and hoping to get a quick and easy answer rather than looking for the most pertinent thread and adding to it.

Good luck, and report back with your findings.

Superwave P8

MinimogueVA

Ugo Rez
Ugo - VST/Audio/Visual

A few I like. Id also suggest getting a copy of Computer Music magazine. They have a great collection of free VSTis and VSTs included on DVD as a virtual studio with each magazine. They expand on the collection frequently too.

And of course KVRaudio.com

I tried a lot of free synth. Some of them are very interesting.

does that website work for ya? All I've ever found were dead links and outdated info. And the navigation is not very good.

this list is pretty decent
