i have a 003 and am looking to expand to 16 inputs via adat... seems like the maudio 2626 and rme products seems popular for this. can anyone recommend something below $1,000? has anyone, who's done this, had any problems with the adat inputs being in sync with the 003 inputs? thanks. |

I have an Octopre (the first gen.) with Adat, and though I recommend it, I can't compare it to other alternatives. The compressor on my Octopre is not anything I use when tracking - it's not exactly subtle - but the pre's are nice and in my opinion quite clean, it that's what one wants. |

There are a number of products available with ADAT outputs that I'm sure would be perfect for you. Have a look around the online retailers' sites and do a search. I'm sure you'll find plenty of good info to help you out.

I've got a 003 running with an old MOTU 2408 mk2.... using lightpipe. Got 16 in and out. Cheap too thumbsup |

i also use the m-audio octane which has suited me pretty well. a note of caution. make sure you set up your clock settings correctly in your DAW otherwise you will get an annoying popping sound that will ruin any and all audio tracks you record through your adat device. steve |
