Decent DAW controller? ala Mackie Control.

still think it's overpriced so looking for something (doesn't need audio) just to help replace the mouse always feel and get back into mixing with my hands and not the mouse. Looked at the Behringer, cheap but not enough visual (scribble strip), surprised TASCAM didn't have something new at NAMM.

Is there anything new, decent price in the pipeline with good visuals? (feedback per channel, and controlling plugins?)..thanks!

Tried posting this in Music Computers and kept getting a PHP download then a message saying it had already been posted within the past 5 minutes. Didn't see it, so, am trying to post this here!

Thanks again!

[broken record mode]You cannot go wrong with the Mackie Control Universal for your needs. Stable, it works, and improves workflow.[/broken record mode]

You might be able to get a CM Labs MotorMix cheap if you shop around a bit. Although compatibility is not on the same level as the Mackie unit.

There's also the new Presonus FaderPort. It's different from the other devices, it only has one fader for a start - but it does look like a potentially very useful box and at $180 it's not bad value either .
