analog multitrack advice

Hi, I'm seeking some some advice/direction/enlightenment

looking into getting hold of an analog 8 or 16 track recorder

Can anyone tell me anything about TEAC 85_16 recorder

Or any advice on other 8/16 track models -Otari, Studer, MCI. . . .

TSR-8 seems budget but I hear it's not that great.

be greatful for any input . .

re...TSR8....
actually ive heard very goods tracks done on it.
also heard bad stuff.
but it really depends on the skills of the person useing it.

however imho....if you can afford it.....of course studer 2 inch multitracks
are excellent. ...they have a sound that is very pleasing imho.
