any new guitar amps that dont sound "digitally"/vox ad30....

i'm always looking for new interesting low cost guitar sounds.
ive tried a number of new products like the pod, and today the vox ad30 i think it was called. i liked the price....BUT like a lot of the new guitar amps/effects ive tried recently it sounds what i call "digitally".
ie....it just didnt sound spot on with the modelling/effects to me.

i'm a great lover of that old doobies china grove guitar sound and the lead break in Cgrove is superb for tone imho. also great lover of cheap trik tone and many others.....this begs my question. i also noticed a line 6 spyder in the store and many others........do all these new amps with effects//models in.......like uk amp//american amp etc etc sound "digitally"...?????
..by "digitally": i mean a sort of unpleasant raspy type sound. the distortions particularly . ....ie....they dont sound natural.
i asked the guy in the store and he said "its for the kids today"....LOL.....i'm not a kid.
finally....my question is.....is there anything out there thats new that gives lots of tone variety/classic tones/fx/models that is relatively inexpensive like the vox
(under 400 buks cdn).....that will make me go WOW !! LOL....and salute it when i play it .....and PUT A HUGE SMILE ON MY FACE AND MAKE ME DO HANDSTANDS OF HAPPINESS ....LOL ??

They all pretty much sound like that.
The fender cyber thingy is pretty good though.

IMHO the best thing is to get a low wattage amp- 5 watts or so and play through that.

I use a 15watt blues junior for in studio practice- but I don't have to worry about noise.
