Compressors... other than the FMR Audio stuff?

I'm going to pick up the FMR Audio Compressors...however, what else is decent at this price range...say the $200-300 range? the other route is to get something like the URS 1970 Classic Console Compressor Limiter plugin

http://www.ursplugins.com/

Anyone know anything about these?

Best of luck

The ART Pro VLA is a real piece, very nice compressor and pretty easy to dial in. It will handle dual mono or a stereo source as well, and if you want to push the hell out of it you can get some hairy stuff if you want!

The art pro vla as people are saying.

Also, isn't the dbx 160x around $300? Those are used a lot for drums I think, and maybe bass. Maybe someone with experience can comment on them, but I see them in a lot of studios.

Hello there!

Can anyone tell something about the ART TCS II?
I'm interested in getting one of those.

The TCS looks like a Swiss multipurpose knife for a home studio.
I'm wondering how it sounds.

The ART pro VLA seems a more professional unit, and also easier to use.
I'm wondering about the effectiveness of the auto attack and release.

The ART Pro Channel seems an interesting unit too...

the Ashly SC-53... the STRAP-ON SC-50. haha

for anyone interested, there's an SC-53 on eBay with a few days left. anything under $100 would be well worth it. if i had the rack space, i wouldn't be telling you guys this either.
