Saffire Pro 40 or TubeFire8 - Help me decide and win a beer

I've read as much as I can about interfaces in this price range and these seem to have the most favorable reviews around the GS community.

TubeFire8 - $560 new on a few websites
Saffire Pro 40 - $350 b-stock on ebay

I'll be using the following mics:
SM57
SM7b
CAD m179

I record mostly rock and roll. Windows XP. REAPER.

What do you all think?

Help me decide and I'll buy you a beer tomorrow night if I see you in the same bar as me.

I vote for the Saffire Pro 40 (I use one).

Where are you located? I can certainly use a beer

Brooklyn. I'll be in Times Square for the ball like some damn tourist.

Have you been able to try it with an SM7b?

Damn I'm all the way in Colorado, guess have to pass on the beer lol

Unfortunately I haven't used a dynamic mic with my Pro 40, but I have used both small and large diaphragm condensers with good results:

Opus Zero - Audio Samples

The first sample was done just two month ago, with the Saffire Pro 40.

Hey, that sm7b is going to need a good boost, so the built in pres may not have enough gain on the pro 40, but i own the pro 40 and love it using a gap pre73 preamp on my sm7b
