| Powercore mk1 vs Powercore mk2 Is it worth getting Powercore mk2? Anyone have experience in both cards they can share? Thanks. |

| Gear addict | really depends which plugs u use. for reverbs its great, more ram/u can open a lot more of them. For Virus its shitty, still uses one dsp per instance no matter what dsp that is. For the eqs, it seems u can open more of them. Mk2 Seems to be more stable than Mk1 for me though. |

| Powercore mkII... I think it is a good deal better than the MkI. I have the MkI - but almost never use it since I am working 90% of the time in analog and use the computer just as a tracking machine. But I had some issues with the PowerCore (system hanging, lots of conflicts with my other PCI devices) - and I thought a bit more DSP would be welcomed. But I am anyway considering buying 2xPowerCore Unplugged mkII and all the reverbs (VSS3, MD2, etc...) taken from the TC6000/4000 units. Those plug sound very good IMHO, best reverb plugs I heard so far. Cheers |
