Best Low End COMPRESSOR Plugs - Page 2

I mostly use freeware.

For vocals, Antress Modern Lost Angel (free)

For drums, Rough Rider (free)

For other stuff:

Antress Polo Killer (free. I like the way it sounds on some guitars).

Antress DeathCore (very versatile, I only use the FET mode. I use it when the rough rider would be too rough)

ReaXcomp (multi-band compression that comes free with reaper. It's a great transparent compressor whether you use the multi-band or not).

Kjarhus Classic Compressor (free. It's seldom the best choice, but sometimes the least-worst choice).

You can find them all (I think) at www.vstplanet.com. The trick with freeware is to always believe your ears. Some stuff will look great and even have a great reputation, but sound awful when put to use. Other stuff sounds awesome.

For freeware I'd try the Reaper plugs.
REAPER | ReaPlugs
The ReaComp is very flexible and ReaXComp is top notch.
ReaFir can be used for compression as well.
Stillwells comps-Rocket,Major Tom,Bombardier are excellent as well.
So much great stuff out there! Good times.
