OLLLLLDDDD Behringer Gear

I've never seen any of their older stuff before...just heard stories.

Is this the compressor that rips off that Drawmer LX20?

Is this possibly the first "vintage Behringer" thread on GS?

like a fine wine...a vintage chateau béringer will first show it's true beauty after approx. ten years in your cellar...that is if it isn't corked by then...

Did they always rip off designs for their gear? All of it?

I have a Behriger Denoiser from the old days.
I had never heard of them when it was recommended and I bought it.
I always liked it and still do.

What can I say? I'm a slut and sometimes I work cheaply.

oh man... i wasn't asking, if this thing was any good...

I'm purely asking, for my own knowledge, if this is the "lawsuit" compressor that everyone refers to that copies the Drawmer LX20 (which isn't really something to write home about itself).

By the way...you know you made a bad post when it is deemed to be not slutty enough for even the low end theory!

i have a strange feeling that one day soon vintage behringer gear will be in vogue...
it has to happen no?

someone will make an insane album on one....
and that will be that....

because the gear is what generates music after all

i'm sitting on these shit shure audio masters....broadcast mixers too...
ug...who knows...tubeworks stuff?
aphex?
we'll just have to wait and see...fashion changes...

Hummm...I was replying to this as not to bash the compressor, but thinking this could be a good piece by it being "older" and such.!.. ... Actually, I think this particular model was considered "Pro" gear at the time it was made... ..I have some of ther "older silver colored" Behringer gear with the " hole-thru" circuit boards that sounds pretty good! Had it since the early 90's and believe it or not, has never broke (actually still using some... )............don't even go there.. tutt ..................................

The reason you don't see a lot of old Behringer gear is because most of it doesn't last beyond 5 years before breaking down.

hey rob (Xhiphop),
what's the deal w. the broken dmx you sent? I have not heard back from you in 2 wks. thought you were MIA. you need to get back in touch w. me asap. I've called, emailed, PM'd you & nothing, yet you have time to inquire about new gear. this all looks pretty weak. at least if you're not going to deal w. it, have the courtesy to tell me that. this is the kind of lame transaction that really wrecks the whole good faith thing here.

The Behringer Studio Compressor didn't have variable Attack and Release knobs (unlike the drawmer). It uses a DBX RMS detector and VCA Chip.

You use it in a la2/3/4 style, but it sure doesn't sound like one of these I guess .
