Well, having 3 pairs of Schoeps, I will probably not aspire for this upgrade ... but I really wonder about the production cost. If you cut dealers´ and distributors´ profit, the manufacturer´s profit, shipping, taxes etc., what remains as a real production cost ? 10-20 EUR ? Either Behringer makes this from some cheap plastic or the other manufacturers charge an astronomical profit ...
A blind AB test against Schoeps etc. could be interesting though ...
