It's actually quite clean and very easy to use, I use it a lot to milk another db or 2 from a mix also (I don't just cram the limiter like you hear on many modern mixes!). Like any other digital limiter it is a look ahead design, so comparing to analog outboard it will always keep things at the threshold you set, and analog "can" let things by. War |

Thanx War, I have used the limiters that are in Wavelab and I don't like them so I was wondering if this is a big step up from those...

I would definitely say "yes" up from most plug-immeters.

Liked it at first, now I don't use it so much since I got the PSP Vintage Warmer. PSP is winning the plugin war IMVHO. Just started using the Mixpack and the 84 delay and I'm quite impressed so far. |

In the world of brickwall limiters, it is my favorite. It is is clean and clear, and the different modes let you do bigger low end when you need to.

plug in limiters suck, compared with a good hardware unit. YMMV

Hi! I think it´s not better than the TL´s Maximizer (Freeware), which is in my opinion the best plugin for its price ![]() Compare the demo of the precision limiter with TL´s Maximizer, an you will save a lot of bucks. Anyway, I recently read at the german Studio Magazin (it was an older article), that we have to look at intersample peaks which shoots through brickwalls and causes audible distortion in nearly all cd players. Even in the most of highend mastering songs. Does the precision limiter catch those peaks...? Regards, Wolfgang |
