New Hardware....new software

So i finally got the firepod ( ) and along with it i got Cubase LE, i know its not the greatest software so i want some suggestions of what i should upgrade to.

I need a program with:

Midi in/outs
Decent plug ins

LE is fine for tracking....It's 48 tracks....Remember all those albums that were 2,3,4,8,16,24 tracks... 48 is plenty.

For mixing it's fine....But when you need more inserts and sends and Auto Delay Comp...I'd upgrade to SX3.

It feels pretty much the same...I've never used LE.. But I've installed it for a bunch of guys and dug through it a little to show people stuff.. I'm not the best.

I just started mixing in Cubase SX3. I still track everything in a PT Mix plus system..
So I don't know everything about SX3. But the sound engine sounds awesome and my mixes have sounded way better then my mix plus mixes.

peyton.....
if you get a chance try powertracks that i use from pgmusic.com.(for the demo).
there are too many features to list including 48 midi/audio tracks.
and some superb audio/midi editing tools as well as fx suite built in.
as well as the tc helicon feature for creating for example vocal harmonies.
if you dont believe its a tremendous value (a special price of 29 bucks on currently for xmas)....and better than a lot of higher priced software just ask
some of the users on the forum at pg that have tried everything on the market.
be open minded and i think youll be a bit surprised what it can do for you.
the major reason i like it is day in/out stability. just like having a 48 track recorder.
also there are no dongles to worry about.
all the best.

I run LE and SX3. LE is great for tracking and I use it alot when I need to track on the road, but my main DAW is SX3. I am completely happy with it and the firepod.
If you don't need to process effects, start out by upgrading to Cubase SL.
