Heard these the other day - - I was impressed by the sound not to mention the price. Has anyone used these? Thoughts? Thanks! |

If they are the same ones I recently heard (I think they might be) - they are too bright, and lack a treble roll-off to tame it. As well they were quite tubby, indistinct and woofy in the upper lows (ie - the range of a celli playing low) and thus my pal who owned them had bad low end in his mixes... He just got a pair of Event SP8's and loves them. His mixes are better, so he says. I do not doubt it. How much are they? The Events can be had for approx $1,100 a pair if you shop around, maybe even slightly better..... VMMV |
