Firebox dead - need a new AD/DA. Help!

Hi There,

So my Presonus Firebox unexplainably just died the other day and I need some sorta interface to get the audio from my ART MPA Gold Pre Amp to my Mac Book Pro.

Someone out there wanna give me some suggestions? The interface doesnt really need good preamps with phantom power or anything. I believe my preamp will handle that. Well, actually I know it can handle that. I just need the audio conversion.

Edit - I could also use a compressor for my recordings. Perhaps there is something out there that does compression and ad/da converision. Kinda hit 2 birds with one stone. You know?

Buy a TC Electronics reverb, has good ad/da at 24/48. Cheap, maybe $150.

I'll check it out. Good call. Nice and cheap. Im so choked after my firebox just died randomly. I could use some reverb going in too.

Stupid question though. How would I hook this thing up to my mac. There is also an external hard drive in the way too. I used firewire before.

Wanna buy a focusrite saffire pro 26? 8 channels ad/da, plus two adat in/outs, spidf in/out, neutral preamps, phantom on all channels, hi-z in's for first two channels, xlr or trs inserts, two channel headphone amp, external word clock connectors, midi in/out, and daisy-chain-able via firewire.
