Tapco s8 anyone that owns them wanna give me thier opinon.

Looking into getting these used at a good price. Just wanting some feed back on this. Heard good things about them. But not a lot of reviews.

They're okay...I thought they were pretty wooly, like there's a broad 3dB cut at 2Khz or so. I wasn't a huge fan, but they weren't terrible either. I think there are better contenders out there at the same price range.

I'm currently using them in a very well treated room and like them better than the mackie 824's personally. I do want to upgrade, but for the price i got them at they are great.

I auditioned a pair before settling on a pair of Yamaha HS80Ms. The Tapcos have very good imaging and the bottom end is fast and solid... but the Yammies have better midrange detail and are sweeter in the high end. I ended up getting my Yammies for less than what the S8's would cost anyway - no brainer.

Well...maybe the ones I got were a bad batch. I moved to the JBL LSR4328's from there and it was night and day.
